Citroën DS 21 Decapotable 1968 Arctic Blue
139 BHP, 2175 cc overhead-valve four-cylinder engine with Weber two-barrel carburrettor, four-speed semi-automatic transmission, front and rear independent adjustable self-leveling suspension, and hydraulic front disc and rear drum brakes. The most desirable coach built variation of the 'Goddes'. Excellently restored by Citroën specialist Keyzer in Holland.
The Decapotable offered here, equipped with the famous DS semi-automatic transmission and a Continental radio, was imported from Canada to Holland in 1993. Between 2008 and 2010, it was restored from the ground up by well-known DS specialist Keyzer, including 500 hours spent on bodywork in the original Arctic Blue and a new interior, chrome, electrical wiring, suspension, wheels, tyres, a convertible top, and a stainless steel exhaust. The engine was also rebuilt. After the extensive restoration the car was anti rust proofed with a Dinitrol treatment.
The car runs and drives very well.
For swift motoring across long distances in total comfort, the enthusiast simply cannot do better than a chic and avant-garde Chapron Decapotable. This must be one of the nicest examples available.
In 1968 only 95 Cabriolets were manufactured!
